The Rotary Club of Makati is the lead club in the relief drive of R.I. District 3830 for families affected by Typhoon Ondoy. At the helm of the humanitarian effort is Gov. Sid Garcia , a member of RC Makati. The RCM clubhouse at the MRCFI Building in Guadalupe Viejo was made available by the Club to serve as the collection center and command post for the relief operations.
As lead club, RC Makati is putting its manpower resources to work. RCM Rotaractors and Interactors have been joining up with the club staffers in receiving, sorting out, and packing relief goods. The secretariat is also coordinating with donor clubs and handling requests from clubs for goods to be distributed to affected communities. In charge of overseeing operations is Dir. Toffy Concepcion , chair of RC Makati's Emergency Relief Committee.
