RC Makati adjudged District 3830 Rotary Club of the Year
The Club romped off with the most coveted of honors at the District Awards Night—the Governor's Diamond Excellence Award for Rotary Club of the Year. There to accept the trophy from Gov. Boyet Limon was a beaming Pres. Larry Boyer , whose hard work throughout the past 11 months had been crowned with this singular distinction. The event, dubbed “Dreams Worked—the 2009 Awards, Jewels of Success,” took place at the Manila Polo Club on Friday, 5 th June. The program saw a procession of award presenters, among them PDG Tony Quila, DGE Sid Garcia and IPP Pepito Bengzon (who was a member of the District Awards committee) . The Club was recognized for its achievements in 15 areas including Gawad Kalinga, Literacy, The Rotary Foundation, Rotaract, and public image.
