Club kicks off nutrition program '08-09 with launch of 2 feeding modules in Calatagan

The Committee on Family Health & Nutrition under PP Freddie Borromeo has kick-started the club's nutrition program for RY 2008-2009 by launching not one but two feeding modules in Calatagan, Batangas. There to show support were Pres. Larry Boyer & Ann Tere, PDG Tony Quila, and Ann Jojo Borromeo .

The launch, which took place on Saturday, 2 nd August, in Brgy. Tanagan, occasioned the signing of a MOA among the project partners—Kabisig ng Kalahi represented by Vicky Wieneke , E. Zobel Foundation represented by Joselito Hernandez , the local government unit represented by Ronald Torres , and RC Makati, with Pres. Larry and PP Freddie as its signatories; the turnover of the powdered milk donated by corporate sponsor Mead Johnson and of the funds to be used for the feeding, provided by the club; and the charging and induction of the parent officers by PDG Tony. The children showed their appreciation of the program by performing a dance number using fresh veggies as props. The program over, the RC Makati group repaired to the Borromeo beach house for refreshments and fellowship.

This initial salvo was put up in two sites—Brgy. Tanagan and Brgy. Bagong Silang, each with thirty child-enrolees found to be wanting in nutrition. Two other modules have since been launched—one, in Subic last Saturday; the other, in Parañaque this morning.
